Trimming the tree is one of my all time favorite parts of the Christmas season!  This year I put up 3 trees so far between home and the office and looking for an excuse to do more!  Black Friday has become a tradition to skip the shopping and go up to McGee’s Tree Farm and pick out a Christmas tree to chop down and bring back down the hill.  This year we might of had to chop like 2 feet off our guy to fit it but its all part of the experience!  Followed up with Thanksgiving left overs, Christmas decorating and some hot apple cider mulling away!

Zoey is becoming a regular here, crashing my pictures, or Zoey-bombing as I like to call it.  Really she just gets so excited that I’m excited and Zoey-bombs!

What To Wear – Sweater Coats

It’s officially time to accept it, it’s fall.  The days are short and the breeze is chilly.  Nothing solidifies this more than leaving the work day at 5pm and having to turn on the headlights to drive home.  The storms blowing in do bring one thing… make it sweaters, scarfs and boots weather!  Something about being cozy that makes me happy.

Sweater coats are the best for staying cozy.  You can wear them like a jacket or wear them like a sweater!  I’m digging the Alpine Style Sweater ($44) from mark. for this season.  The advantage of sweater coats is you can wear them pretty much over anything… shorts, jeans, leggings, skirts, dresses or in my case a t-shirt dress!

It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to make a sweater coat look chic and cozy.  1.  Scarf – Nice Accent Scarf from mark. ($16)  2.  Belts – It’s A Cinch belt trio from mark. ($18)  3.  Boots – Ellie from Shoedazzle. ($39.95) Stack 3 skinny belts for a twist on the wide belt look.  These combinations of colors make for one fall-tastic take on the sweater coat.

It’s all in the details.  The alpine print in black brown and white make this sweater extremely versatile.  I love how it pairs with my cognac boots and metallic scarf.  I think this will make a perfect sweater for winter excursions to Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Mountains for that ski lodge look.  I’m already planning on wearing it for thanksgiving weekend with some leggings so I can eat  and lounge like a mofo and still be festive, chic and comfy!

Adding Glitz With The Fired Up Bracelet

Adding Glitz With The Fired Up Bracelet

No outfit is complete without some glitz!  Another new arrival from mark. is this Fired Up Bracelet ($24) that adds just enough sparkle but still casual with its amber, smokey grey and clear multifaceted beads.  I’ve been wearing this bracelet non stop because its just that pretty!  (and matches everything!)

So to answer that question we dread every morning, what should I wear?  The answer is the Alpine Style Sweater with a scarf and some boots!  Shop the Alpine Style Sweater, Nice Accent Scarf, It’s A Cinch Belts and Fired Up Bracelet at my eBoutique:  http://www.youravon.com/aliciahessinger  You can shop my boots here: http://www.shoedazzle.com/invite/13vwrv69ld  since Ellie is almost sold out get the Gimme The Boot ($50) from mark. also available at my eBoutique:  http://www.youravon.com/aliciahessinger
