If Christmas is only 9 days away that mean’s that New Years Eve is only in 17 days!  Time to start making plans and more importantly, what are you going to wear!?!  I feel New Year’s is one of those events that seem to always disappoint, but I also figured out there’s a few things to plan for that make it work out.  First is who you’re with, plan to spend it with good friends and/or family.  That way, doesn’t matter what you do, you’ll for sure have a fun night.  Secondly, is plan a special outfit.  You know if you at least dress up a little, then the night automatically feels special!  Jill from My Sweet Obsessions and I have few tips to help with that last part, styling a New Years Eve outfit that will have you covered no matter if it’s for a night in or a night out!

1.  Pick A Party Dress!

This is THE opportunity to wear a party dress.  Even if you’re not a dress wearer, on New Years, you can be.   Most of us in real life don’t have too many occasions to dress up, so take the chance.  Even if your event isn’t something crazy, this is the night that being overdressed is completely acceptable.  My party dress pick is the mark. Grand Entrance Dress ($44).  With it’s fitted lace bodice and satin tulip skirt it’s a party perfect pick!

2.  Keep It Comfortable.

You’re in for a long night and being super uncomfortable in an outfit you can’t move in and heels you can’t walk in just makes for a miserable NYE.  Pick a dress you can move, and dance, and sit in… and maybe one that hides the few pounds of Christmas cookies I’ve been eating.  That’s what I love about this mark. Grand Entrance Dress, it’s cut to flatter and be functional.  The waist is a litter higher hitting that sweet spot that’s the small part of our torso.  The tulip skirt allows you to move and prance, so you’ll be good with whatever comes your way… chasing kids to dance floor moves.

 

3.  Pile on the sparkle.

 Last week’s tips on how to wear sparkles weren’t for a one time thing, you’ll definitely need them for NYE.  Again if there’s ever a time to go all out it’s NYE, and no one will judge you for it, believe me.  So bust out the sequin clutch (or again for me, last seen here.)  Pull out some statement earrings like these mark. Noir Essence Earrings, and stack on an arm party (kate spade bracelets).  Don’t forget the shoes!  I love the mark. 4.  Amp Up Your Makeup.

NYE is the BEST time for a smokey eye and bold lip!  Spend a little extra time getting ready and pull out some of the best tricks like a smokey eye.  Key is sticking with formulas that will last all night.  mark. 5.  Have Fun!
