Let’s talk fall in Northern California during a drought… there isn’t one.  Not only has it been hot it’s been dry.  This doesn’t work for fall fashion when all I want to wear are my heavy tweed pants.  However there are some great transitional pieces that are not only super versatile but follow the menswear trend for this season!  (see yesterday’s trending tuesday:  #menswear post).  Let’s take this look I’m smitten with and make it Nor Cal appropriate shall we?

Ok there’s no way I’m wearing a long sleeve shirt in 90 degree weather.  But what if I just pair a black cami under it.  DONE!  Booties… I do love those menswear inspired booties but hot and I don’t have them… pumps it is!  Add on my menswear styled satchel in the mark. Neutral Territory Bag and some gilded treasures with the mark. All Four It Bracelet set and I just made this menswear trend my own.

A LBD with a twist like this one really is versatile.  Fall and winter will come and I won’t be so hot that I need bare arms and legs.  This dress easily can transition with, as shown above, a white button down underneath, or a classic cardigan or blazer for work.  It’s a great holiday party dress with a strappy back bra and some tights.  I think my next rendering on this dress will be with a long duster and some booties!  How would you wear this dress?
