Here’s to the 5th of May!  Today may be the day that the Mexican army overcame the French in an unlikely battle, but it’s also a day to have a mini fiesta to honor it!  Plus, personally, my mom comes into town today, my good friend’s anniversary and Thursday Bites at work, so a day be celebrated!

Word On What To Wear:  Be a little festive and represent the Mexcian flag in red white and green anchored with black.  Or go bright and colorful like a fiesta!  I paired a chambray shirt over a white dress (both from Loft) with a bright fun necklace (mark.), red lips (Avon Perfectly Matte in Coral Fever) and some spring boots (Sheodazzle) since its a rainy day here.  Originally I was going to wear this Marimekko For Target dress… but…

Or I think a really on trend off the shoulder top and bold pants would be cute or even a dress, like these from Express.

Either way all of these would be cute for the 5th of May or any other day in May 🙂

Word On What To Do:  Go grab some tacos and a margarita!  Hit up happy hour at your local Mexican restaurant or make some for dinner tonight.  Street tacos are the absolute easiest and a crowd pleaser.  I guarantee you have at least half the ingredients you need to make taco’s tonight and pick up the rest on your way home.  Here’s a recipe idea if you need one.
