Just call me Ms. Patriotic.  I don’t know when my obsession with all things Americana happened but now I’m kinda known for it.  Week O’Nautical sails on with another patriotic look featuring the Avon Ms. Patriotic set and nautical stripes.

Not only do I wear my red white and blue for my patriotic holidays but I also wear it year round.   Key is to finding pieces that work with anything, for multiple occasions like a sparkly red white and blue statement necklace, and/or a versatile bustier top.  Avon usually comes out with a patriotic themed jewelry item, this year they stepped it up with the Ms. Patriotic necklace and earring gift set.  Not only does it work well for the 4th it really stands on its own for any time of the year.  Plus it goes perfectly with my bustier top from White House Black Market that I picked up at their semi-annual sale going on now.

The embellished striped bustier top is one of those items that looks good with a pencil skirt for work or denim shorts for weekend or I just LOVED it paired with the matching skirt, that gives you a dress look with separates (which you can mix and match with other things for more versatility).  For my look I just paired it with a navy pencil skirt and my go-to heels and current fav red earrings and a stars printed bandana on my blue bag (last seen here)

As I sail through the work week to our patriotic weekend this Week O’Nautical look really sparks me into the 4th of July mood.  Tonight I’ll switch to some denim shorts and wedges for a little pre-4th fireworks and hanging out.
