It’s National Lipstick Day!  In it’s honor here are my favorite lipstick tips and tricks for summer lips plus my favorite current on trend shades!

Lip Prep Tip:  Use a facial brush on your lips in the morning to gently exfoliate and get them smoothed out for your lipstick!  I’ve been using the Avon Anew Cleansing Brush every day and making sure to go over my lips.  Not only does it help remove flakes it also helps remove gentle signs of aging around the lips.

Full Lips Contour Trick:  Line your lips with a shade darker than your lipstick.  Don’t completely fill in your lips but create a thick line.  Then apply your lipstick but don’t go all the way out.  Use a lip brush to the blend where the two meet.

Highlighting Lip Tip:  Use mark. Touch and Glow as your lip highlight.  Apply on your cupids bow and right under the center of you bottom lip with a concealer, cream or foundation brush.  After you’ve applied your lip color use your finger to apply it on the center of your top and bottom lip over the color.

Heal Chapped Lips Trick:  Steep a tea bag for 1-2 minutes then press it in-between your lips for 30 seconds.  Instantly your chapped lips will be no more!

Current Favorite Lip Trend:  Matte!  I’ve been loving the matte lip trend in fun bright shades, like Avon Perfectly Matte in Ideal Lilac and mark.
