Meghan Markle Sparkle is Mint To Be

Meghan Markle Sparkle is Mint To Be

My wedding set is currently at the jewelers being repaired so I was in the need of a fill in, and what’s better than a design fit for a Duchess! ¬†Random Snapple fact, Duchess is my favorite royalty title, shout out to Krista in 10th grade for winning that title at Snow Ball ūüėČ ¬†Anyways… This¬†Sterling Silver CZ Triplet Ring was inspired by that Meghan Markle Sparkle so for this week, its my place holder.

Obiv my sterling silver version is a little different as hers is a gold band, and CZ’s instead of her ¬†beautiful, and I’m sure flawless, diamonds, but at $34.99 I ain’t mad at it. ¬†It gives a lot of sparkle, a lot of Meghan Markle Sparkle! ¬†This weeks mani also #nailedit with the Avon Gel Finish Nail Polish in Mint To Be.

I’m REALLY loving this pastel polish shade. ¬†I def feel it pulls more robin’s egg blue than mint but its a great spring shade and pairs really well with all the blues I’ve been wearing lately. ¬†I’ve also been a little obsessed with all things engagement/wedding, like getting an album done from mine, and getting those dumb disposable cameras finally taken care of, and then one of my fav you tubers shared her engagement which made me have all the feels, and a friend is engaged, and I’ve been binging Married At First Sight… I guess its just that spring fever!

You can shop my favorite polish, these Gel Finish polishes online at http://www.youravon.com/aliciahessinger and be sure to get your own Meghan Markle Sparkle to go along with it! ¬†You know I’ve been loving these fine jewelry releases from Avon this past year and this one takes the cake, the wedding cake! ¬†Plus, it would be cute to wear these two (ring & polish) if you’re doing the circuit of showers, weddings, events and parties or even Easter!

Anniversary Mani – Deep Red and Lace

Anniversary Mani: Deep Red and Lace

Anniversary Mani: Deep Red and Lace

Yesterday was my 2nd wedding anniversary so in honor I re-created my wedding mani with a twist.  For my actual wedding I did a classic fall red with Avon Speed Dry in Red Wine, see the details here.  For my anniversary I tweaked it for something a little more fun, still in my wedding theme and perfect for fall festivities or even holiday!

Instead of all over red I added an accent nail in silver with mark. Nailed It duo.  Then, on my ring and middle I added a lace overlay wrap from Jamberry.  This is an old wrap from holiday last year but you can re-create the same look with new wraps from Jamberry with either Black Lace or Papel Picado.

Red Red Wine....

Red Red Wine….

If you aren’t already go ahead and sing red red wine… because I am. ¬†To celebrate we went to Apple Hill a collection of orchards and farms up the hill a bit and took a stop at Lava Cap Winery. ¬†In addition to my nails fitting right in they also brought back my wedding details. ¬†My wedding colors were black and white with deep fall red and black lace accents!

Cheers!

Trending Tuesday: October Inspo

Hello October!

Hello October!

If the world of alicia was the internet #october would totally be trending. ¬†October will now forever hold a little special place in my heart. It is now my anniversary, the mr.’s birthday, football, perfect fall weather, pumpkin patches, halloween and the start to the holiday season! ¬†All these are what inspire my October!

Our 1st Anniversary

10.04.14

10.04.14

I can’t believe it’s been a year already! ¬†We started October off right with a trip to wear it all began, Lake Tahoe. ¬†We were married lake front on Oct. 4th and it was a beautiful day! ¬†I haven’t shared much of it on here so this month I’ll be sure to post a little recap, and my wedding must haves and failures.

October Color Pallet

My wedding colors were black and white with pops of red (fall red as I called it) and lace. ¬†True, lace isn’t a color, but with all my color pallets I need a pattern too. ¬†So it’s more my wedding theme not just my wedding colors! ¬†This October I’ll be wearing this same pallet. ¬†Not only is it special personally to me it also really works for this time of year. ¬†Black and white always works but more so right now as you transition your warmer days clothing with your cool evenings clothing. ¬†Red works as a great fall accent from fall equinox to Halloween! ¬†Think vampires! ¬†As with everything some stunning metallics and sparkles accent the theme perfectly too ūüôā

Fun Fall Events

Pumpkin Patch-ing!

Pumpkin Patch-ing!

October is the perfect time for visiting breweries/Oktoberfests, pumpkin patches, apple orchids, football games and all those outdoor fun fall events! ¬†We’ll be celebrating the Mr.’s birthday at a brewery this year and every weekend is a reason to have a mini party/tailgate… football! ¬†If you live in Nor Cal my favorite place this time of year is Apple Hill. ¬†A string of apple orchids and farms located in the foothills is the perfect place to inspire your October events. ¬†So pull out your boots and favorite fall scarf and plan some fall fun!

Halloween

Trick Or Treat

Trick Or Treat

What is October without Halloween!? ¬†I love pulling out my Halloween decorations because I know it’s the start of the holiday season. ¬†I just love when things get a little more magical! ¬†And pumpkin carving, I love pumpkin carving! ¬†As I get older it’s a little harder to find a good Halloween party to go to¬†but I did already buy my caped tee from Wal-Mart as my work costume at the very least… I don’t care if no one else dresses up, you better believe I’m going to find a way to theme out my Halloween!

DIY Bridal Survival Kit with thesalonoutlet.com

If rain on your wedding day is lucky, what is arson forest fire smoke? ¬†I’m just under 2 weeks from my big day which is seeming to be ruined by the King fire since its barely contained and still spreading. ¬†There is no way you can plan to avoid¬†something like this but I can plan for the other small “fires” that are bound to happen on my wedding day with a DIY Bridal Survival Kit.

DIY Bridal Survival Kit

thesalonoutlet.com generously provided a product of my choice for review, with my upcoming wedding I knew I wanted a “train case” for all my beauty and survival needs. ¬†I selected the black soft makeup train case with shoulder strap ($39.99). ¬†It’s the perfect size with tons of compartments to keep me organized and hold everything I need. ¬†As I’ve been getting closer I’ve been adding bits and pieces here and there to build the kit.
