If the world of alicia was the internet #october would totally be trending. October will now forever hold a little special place in my heart. It is now my anniversary, the mr.’s birthday, football, perfect fall weather, pumpkin patches, halloween and the start to the holiday season! All these are what inspire my October!
Our 1st Anniversary

I can’t believe it’s been a year already! We started October off right with a trip to wear it all began, Lake Tahoe. We were married lake front on Oct. 4th and it was a beautiful day! I haven’t shared much of it on here so this month I’ll be sure to post a little recap, and my wedding must haves and failures.
October Color Pallet

My wedding colors were black and white with pops of red (fall red as I called it) and lace. True, lace isn’t a color, but with all my color pallets I need a pattern too. So it’s more my wedding theme not just my wedding colors! This October I’ll be wearing this same pallet. Not only is it special personally to me it also really works for this time of year. Black and white always works but more so right now as you transition your warmer days clothing with your cool evenings clothing. Red works as a great fall accent from fall equinox to Halloween! Think vampires! As with everything some stunning metallics and sparkles accent the theme perfectly too 🙂

Fun Fall Events

October is the perfect time for visiting breweries/Oktoberfests, pumpkin patches, apple orchids, football games and all those outdoor fun fall events! We’ll be celebrating the Mr.’s birthday at a brewery this year and every weekend is a reason to have a mini party/tailgate… football! If you live in Nor Cal my favorite place this time of year is Apple Hill. A string of apple orchids and farms located in the foothills is the perfect place to inspire your October events. So pull out your boots and favorite fall scarf and plan some fall fun!

Halloween

What is October without Halloween!? I love pulling out my Halloween decorations because I know it’s the start of the holiday season. I just love when things get a little more magical! And pumpkin carving, I love pumpkin carving! As I get older it’s a little harder to find a good Halloween party to go to but I did already buy my caped tee from Wal-Mart as my work costume at the very least… I don’t care if no one else dresses up, you better believe I’m going to find a way to theme out my Halloween!

What is inspiring your October!?
I love being subscribed to your blog and although I’m not a potential customer because I’m an AVON Rep myself, your posts inspire me for my own Facebook page posts. You look great in all your photos and I love the locations you pick for your photography. Thanks for sharing your wedding photos, you were a beautiful bride!
Fall to me is the season of renewal. The beautiful splash of color in the trees, the chilliness in the air and the abundance of recipes we don’t typically make throughout the year that fill your house with warm, inviting aromas.
Thank you so much! You are too kind. I totally agree with the recipes! I rarely bake except for during the holidays and a good apple crisp in the fall is nothing but amazing!
