Oktoberfest Nails – Essie Skirting The Issue and Finger Paints Fall of Surprises

on

Welcome October, or as the hmail calls it, spooktober!  It doesn’t feel much like fall since its supposed to be a high of 99 today but at least my nails are fall fabulous!  At my company we had our annual Oktoberfest gathering, Doradofest!  So of course, I had to do an Oktoberfest themed mani!

I got the Essie Stylnomics Fall 2012 collection mini cube awhile back and have been dying to use it!  But since its been so hot I just didn’t want to say goodbye to summer colors yet.  My Oktoberfest mani was just the occasion to bust them out.  I used 2 coats of Essie’s Skirting The Issue, a deep oxblood color, with a glitter gradient in Finger Paints Fall of Surprises from their 2012 fall release.  Fall of Surprises I just had to get because of its fun fall name and gorgeous bronzy orange mix of hex and small glitter.  Reminds me of fall leaves glistening in the morning dew!

Sorry for the not so great picture, still figuring out my camera setting on my new Galaxy S3, but even blurry these nails make me happy, totally fitting for the occasion!  I probably could of used an extra coat of topcoat because my glitter did kinda catch as the polish wore, or I would of just done the gradient at the tips instead of from the base.  And as a sidenote, still LOVING my mark. Great Ring Tones Set which I layered with a silver ring from Mexico.  Get the Great Ring Tones set for $16 at my eboutique:  http://ahessinger.mymarkstore.com

Not that I had any of the tastings from Jack Russell Brewing but I did enjoy my Doradofest pint glass!  If you’re looking for a Oktoberfest themed mani I highly recommend this combo!  I think I’m finally ready to use the rest of my Essie Stylenomics mini cube, maybe I’ll just keep my summer neons on my toes 🙂
