If the world of Alicia was the internet then #neon would be trending!  I’ve always been a fan of neons, like in 3rd grade where my favorite items were my neon green hair bow with my stone washed jeans with neon green stitching and pockets and my biker shorts with the neon green stripe down the side that I paired with layered tanks!  3rd grade was totally awesome!  I don’t have nearly as much neon in my life now as I did in 3rd grade, so I guess I need to step up my neon game!  Like all trends that make a comeback, they come back modernized and more wearable.  Here are my top picks for embracing the neon trend this summer!

1.  Neon on nails!

My favorite mani/pedi shades in the summer are neons!  (as shown in my must have summer pedi colors post!)  I love the pops of bright on my tips and they work really well with my summer tan.  My summer go to nail shade is China Glaze Shocking Pink, this is the one neon nail shade I do own so I definitely need to add some more to my arsenal!  That’s why this mark. 2.  Trim it in neon!

When in small doses, neon can be worn everyday.  Like the neon pink trim on the mark. 3.  On eyes and lips!

Wait, what!?!  Neon eyeshadow and lip gloss?  That’s what I thought too until I started seeing it be worn!  I LOVE the idea of doing a thick winged out line across the top lashes with neon eyeshadows.  Pair it with bronzed cheeks and lipgloss for a super easy summer makeup idea!  Perfect for day or night!   Get the look with mark. To fully embrace the neon trend I need to add more to the wardrobe.  I added these neon pink lace shorts last year, but now I’d love some neon denim shorts.  I’m also on the hunt for some fun tanks for work and play, neon dresses for hot summer nights and a good pair of neon pumps!
