Who is this mark guy you’re thinking!? Didn’t she JUST get married… get your minds out of the gutter! I’m talking about my other love, mark. and the perfect new spring makeup must-haves!  Just like switching out your winter wardrobe for spring you should do the same with your makeup.    Start by spring cleaning:  pitch what’s old, near empty and what just doesn’t work for you.  Do the same with your tools, clean your brushes and pitch the old and what doesn’t work for you.  Now that you’ve made some room time to add in some spring beauty must haves!

Lighter and brighter.  That’s my rule for spring and summer.  There’s always a place for a smokey eye but for the everyday add in some lighter and brighter shades!  I’m loving the mark. Spring Fling Eye Trio.  It’s 3 perfect shades in a peach, light pink and a brighter pink that can be worn everyday and super simple to apply and wear.  I’ve been wearing these shades NON-STOP since I got them.  They instantly brighten up the eye area making you look more awake and younger.  If you can’t break out of your matte browns for everyday then try using it just in the inner corner, under the lash line and right under the brow to achieve the same effect.  I personally wear the light pink shade all over from lash line to brow.  I then use the darker pink shade on the outer 3/4 of the lid and the peachy shade right above and in the crease.  I like the way it applies with just my fingers and use the included brush for my crease (peach shade) and inner corner and under the bottom lashes.

Ever wonder what eyeshadow goes with all those bright and bold lips I’ve been suggesting?  (like here)  It’s this eyeshadow.  These shades won’t compete but compliment pretty much any lip shade you throw on your lips.  For spring why not try a bright creamy pink lip.  It will look polished and put together but still fun.  Try mark. My other must have for spring is the mark. First Blush Perfect Flush Powder!  And perfect flush it is!  This is one the most perfect blushes I’ve used.  So a little trick in picking blush is to pick one similar to the color of your finger tips.   mark. First Blush has 2 shades and a highlighter center with the outer shade being the darker version of this fingertip color and the middle shade a lighter.  It also has purple undertones which is more flattering and more natural flush color.  The coloring is perfect compliment to the highlighter to give you a great flushed glow and not a I’m wearing glitter look.  I usually tend to skip the highlighter because I have large pores but mark. gets it right.

Let me comment that I took these pics after 5pm with doing my makeup that morning for the day so let that vouch for the color pay off and lasting quality.  Most “makeup posts” are with pics taken immediately after perfecting the look before things settle into pores, and in my case, before you have to sit in a hot car with no ac and sweat.  I did reapply my lipstick but other than that no touch ups!  I in no way have good skin but with good products your everyday makeup look can look good even at the end of the day.  This is why I feel these are the perfect must haves for spring!
