In the Navy, you can sail the 7 seas… or celebrate Week O’Nautical!  I was inspired by Khloe Kardashian’s navy jumpsuit look (see here and here), but I made it more practical for everyday wear for hanging out with friends and watching the fireworks!

The key elements from Khloe’s look were the navy jumpsuit, textured high ponytail, navy eyes and killer horn  hoop earrings! Because I don’t have a Kardashian wardrobe, lifestyle or stylists I channel the same vibe with the mark. Easy Does It Romper.  It’s way more functional for everyday and like the name says a really easy piece.  I absolutely love that it has pockets!  The easy fit has me wearing this piece all summer long.  Don’t be afraid of the 1-piece, it’s actually really flattering and easy to wear!

To make it a little more nautical I added white and gold elements.  I didn’t have killer horn hoop earrings but I did have some chain detailed oversized hoops (mark.)!  Add a long necklace and white hobo bag (both mark.) and some white lace and gold pumps (Shoedazzle) and I had a more nautical take on Khloe’s look.

Khloe has some serious mermaid eyes going on, but I went a little lighter for day using the mark. On The Dot Smokey Eye Pallet.  Paired with nude lips (mark. All Butter Now in Bare All) and some bronzed contoured (barely) cheeks (mark. Buenos Aires Vibe Caliente Glow Brozner and Blush – see here).

Like I said it’s been mega hot here (and majorly windy during these pics!) so there was no way I was going to do a major hair style… even though Khloe’s pony is most definitely way more curled and teased I went the easy route.  On wet hair I used mark. That’s Beachy Texturizing spray.  Once It dried a little I swept it up all into a high pony and secured with an elastic.  Final step was to take a piece of hair from underneath and wrap around to disguise the elastic.  It was the perfect hairdo for a hot summer day!
