Hi this is Erica from Erica’s Fashion & Beauty! Let’s plan a Holiday movie night! I LOVE movies and this is the perfect time of the year to dig out your fave Holiday movies! My friends and I used to have movie nights all the time when we were teens and it’s still something we like to do now as adults. Instead of watching in someone’s parent’s living room we take it up a notch or two with a little planning. I have 4 tips for making your Holiday movie night spectacular! My party theme revolves around the 3 C’s: comfy, casual, and cozy!
Tip 1: Setting the scene. Help guests feel comfortable and relaxed by putting out a bunch of pillows and blankets for them to use. If you have a fireplace, start a fire or string up a few twinkle lights to add a little soft lighting to the room. You’ll want to turn off the bright lights to watch the movie but you don’t want the room to be so dark that your friends stumble around looking for the bathroom or snack table.

Tip 2: A snack table is a must! What goes better with a movie than popcorn? Fill your table with easy to eat finger foods or appetizers, nothing too messy. Get paper plates and napkins and create a little buffet of treats. Cover your table with a festive, throwaway tablecloth or even gift wrap. Provide a balance of sweet and savory snacks, maybe some homemade goodies, hot cocoa, sodas, etc. You could ask guests to bring snacks to share.

Tip 3: Sticking with the 3 C’s, dress the part! Encourage guests to dress comfortably. Loungewear, PJs, sweatpants, leggings, and slippers are all perfect for this party!

Tip 4: Since it’s the Holiday season, make a little gift bag for your friends to take home. You could include a copy of the Holiday movie you are watching, candy, bag of popcorn, Holiday socks (my obsession), winter lip balm or hand cream, whatever you want. Since I am an Avon Rep., I would include a few beauty samples in my swag baggies. 😉

More ideas:
-Have guests vote for the Holiday movie they want to watch or ask them to bring their favorite.
-Set the theme to go with the movie you are watching. For example if you are watching White Christmas have guests wear white, string up paper snowflakes, and serve white or snow themed snacks.
-Before the movie, play a Holiday movie trivia game. Just Google “Christmas movie trivia games”.
-Do the opposite of the 3 C’s theme and go for an elegant red carpet movie night. Have guests dress their best and serve wine and hor d’oeuvres. You could even put out a red carpet!
Have fun and enjoy the party!
