If the world of alicia was the internet #apresski would totally be trending. Now that the glitz and glam of the holidays are over the winter weather definitely has me thinking all things cozy. I’ve been obsessing over all things suitable for a chic winter weekend. Think cozy layers with a crisp aesthetic, functional pieces with fab details in colors of the winter sky and scene.

The Color Pallet: black, white, icy blues and grays make for a simplistic January pallet. Pops of prints in fair isle, cable knit textures and even leopard look chic paired with them.

Cozy Layers: Layer on the cozy with sweaters, knits and vests. Layered looks achieve a level of chic a regular sweater by itself doesn’t achieve, and functionally way warmer!

Crisp Aesthetic and Cozy Textures: Maybe it’s because of the clean slate we get with the new year or that crisp clean winter air but monochromatic looks achieve a crisp aesthetic while adding in the right textures achieve that après ski chic.

Winter Weekend: I’m ready to plan a little winter weekend getaway to Tahoe to play in the snow, take in the mountain splendor and live that cabin life! Even if you just plan an afternoon sledding a winter weekend makes January tolerable.

Until then we’ll be dreaming of visiting places like Aspen or our holiday in the Swiss Alps by wearing some chic après ski looks making dreary winter days much more crisp and bright. To see more inspiration head over to my Pinterst board. What’s inspiring your January winter days?
We’re goin to Colorado for our honeymoon, can’t wait! We originally booked a jamaica trip but had to cancel because of the zika virus 😦
Congrats!!!! But bummer on Jamaica however Colorado will be beautiful too, just packing different things 🙂 Sidenote, I did a gel mani for my 1 and only time for my honeymoon and it as the best decision, you’ll have to share what apres ski chic you end up sporting!
