I’ve never seen a horse race in my life.  I’ve never even watched the Kentucky Derby on tv, but I appreciate the cult party its grown in to.  I do have one late night memory of my friends and I meeting up with these young Republican newbies trying to make their name on the political scene here in Sacramento for a post derby party complete with preppy boys and girls in sundresses.  That was a fun night but you know what’s even more fun… the hat’s!  So in honor of my love for redic hats, all things preppy and a good themed party here are my picks for some derby looks!

I just love all the preppy and polished looks that come out for the Derby.  If you were going to the Kentucky Derby or even just going to a Kentucky Derby party what would you wear?  Maybe just for the fun of it I’ll wear a killer spring preppy and pastel outfit and force others to drink mint juleps just to have fun with the weekend!
