Punxsutawney Phil promised an early spring so it’s time to lighten things up! Lighten up your look, lighten up your load with spring cleaning and lighten up your coat! A spring coat is an absolute must have because even those warmer sunny days still have that spring chill. A constant problem I find is finding the right spring coat to wear with work wear, dresses and more importantly my LBD. I found the perfect solution with this mark. Soft Touch Trench Coat.
First, a little on the soft trench. If you’ve noticed pretty much every cool girl on IG, pinterest, bloggers, etc. have a similar trench coat. What makes it soft is it is not a constructed structured trench coat, it’s a fluid fabric that just flows with it’s loose shape. If you’re a fan of the Express Portofino shirts think that only thicker. Seriously, just hop on pinterest, you’ll see all the cool girls in them. They wear them with jeans and a tee, over shorts, tanks and booties or over a really cute jumpsuit or romper. I’ve been obsessing over this all white look Khloe Kardashian wore with a soft trench.
What I love about this mark. Soft Touch Trench is that it’s a classic trench coat color so it will go with everything and still look sophisticated even though it’s a loose shape. In addition, the sleeves are convertible so that is just PERFECT as a top coat layer. It looks more like part of your outfit then like you’re wearing a coat. You look fabulous. Does this trench coat run small and what size are you wearing? I kept hearing people said ordered two sizes up. I’m 5’2″, 125lbs, 36D, any advice?
I def don’t think you need two sizes up, that’s silly! Unless you have really broad shoulders. I’m wearing a small, my typical mark. size, and I’m similar to your stats. Because it’s an open loose piece I think you’d be fine. There’s only the self tie belt and you can see there’s room in the arms. I’d say size up only if you are concerned with shoulders because otherwise its so easy to wear!
