Pearls are a little, precious, one-of-a-kind treasures!  Lately I’ve been on a little treasure hunt obsessing over pearls.  Over the years I have had faux and real pearl jewelry, pearl embelished items and overall just a soft spot for them as being June’s birthstone as both my brothers and dad have June birthday’s.  Recently I’ve on this pearl kick and picked up a few really awesome pearl items!

Why are pearls so precious?  Partly because they are extremely unique and the only precious “stone” found within a living creature.  You don’t cut or polish a pearl, they’re precious and stunning right as they are found!  They’re also rare, even though they’re cultured/farmed it still takes tons of oysters to find 1 pearl.  Naturally only 1 in 10,000 oysters yield a pearl!  Pearls are so appealing for their stunning qualities and value making them so classic, and worth the investment large or small.  They’ve dated back as far at 13th century China!
