Valentine’s Day Ideas – Nails

Happy Valentine’s Day… February the 14th!  — Now when arrow’s don’t penetrate Cupid grabs the pistol — Everyone else have that Outkast song running through their head all day like me?  Def not a bad thing… neither is wearing Valentine’s Day mani’s for the last 2 weeks!

This was my first attempt at drawing hearts with a toothpick since I don’t have a dotting tool, and I have to say, didn’t turn out half bad… now my other hand wasn’t as successful but there’s a reason why I only take pictures of my left haha.  I used Essie’s Size Matters and Julep Rebel for this look.  Are those not appropriate names for a Valentine’s Day look!?!

For my second look I wanted to recreate the conversation hearts that are a Valentine’s Day staple!  I used the coming-soon mark nailed it set in sorbet colors (ring and pointer) and last year’s night iris nailed it set (pink on pinkie) with Essie’s Turquoise and Caicos (middle) and Nice is Nice (thumb).  I then wrote my “conversations” with a silver sharpie and topped with a topcoat!  Note to self:  don’t add topcoat until sharpie is dry (hence the drag).  I was a little bugged by the not perfect writing and spacing but overall this is a really fun mani and a reason to wear a different color on every finger, which I never do.  The new nailed it set from mark. will be launching next week at http://ahessinger.mymarkstore.com or to get it early direct message me to order.
