And we’re back in the game! (said like Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 10 Things I Hate About You). After an extended holiday break, Jackie from Living After Midnight and I are back with the first Wear and Share Wednesday of 2014! There’s not a better way to start it off than with our take on a classic, the satchel! We took the mark. Classic Hit Handbag and styled it 2 ways.

When styling around the mark. Classic Hit Handbag I went with a classic outfit. Start with a classic shape like a shirtdress then take it modern like with the black and white stripes. A classic shirtdress is one of those go to items that works for desk to dinner and you can dress it up or down. I love this one from Express, the portofino dress which comes in a variety of colors and patterns. Mom did good on gifting me this dress for my last birthday!

Black and white is always a classic which is why I love it so much for this time of year. Since its still winter but here we’re having a drought and beautiful 70 degree weather I definitely have spring fever, so sticking with classic colors solves the dilemma of the fighting seasons.

Continuing with the classics are my swiss dot tights and pumps only a bit more modern. The tights are the second set from the mark. A Bit Lacy Tights (wore the other set here) which are now on clearance at my eBoutique! mark. has the best tights they are really great quality and so comfy, they don’t dig into my waist like most do. With my winter white legs a tight like these really help but aren’t too warm!

Even though the shape are classic and the colors are classic the patterns are modern and bold, which means I don’t need much in the form of accessories. This classic chain link watch, mark. All In Good Time Watch (an MK dupe) is also a new arrival from mark. (launching Friday January 24th $40 at http://www.youravon.com/aliciahessinger) I just added my favorite Kate Spade Idiom Bangle and with the mark. Classic Hit Handbag that’s all the accessorizing I needed!

What’s In My Bag? The mark. Classic Hit Handbag is definitely a new go to. It’s fresh for my spring fever but its winter white color works for the season now. Plus it holds everything I need in its structured shape! So what do I fill this classic satchel with? mark. must-haves! For my face (which you can’t see since my Burberry shades hide it) I used the mark. Got The Goods foundation, mark. Light Show (shown below) as my bronzer and mark. just blushing in dollhouse on my cheeks. On my eyes I used the new On The Dot Smokey (shown below), mark. Get In Line Liquid Liner in Painted Black (shown below) and mark. Lash Act Mascara in Blackest Black (shown below) and on my lips I used the new On The Dot Lip pallet (shown below). All these I stuffed chicly into the mark. Flora Fab Makeup Case a new must-have and a new favorite! The chevron pattern had me at hello and the double zippered compartments keep me organized. Perfect to throw in your bag and go! You can get all these items at the eBoutique!

If you caught my last post, Word Of Alicia on American Hustle, then you know that I had no idea how influenced I was 70’s fashion and here’s and example of it! This look, though classic, is definitely a modern take on a retro look, and its definitely me! To see more details on Jackie’s take on a look based off the mark. Classic Hit Handbag, head over to Living After Midnight for her black and navy winter look. Her NY winter is much more sever than my CA one.
