If the world of alicia was the internet #springcolors would totally be trending. I’m so ready to embrace color! I’ve been sporting a lot of soft shades (as seen here) but things are warming up and so should my tones! Maybe it has to do with the fact that all my spring and summer items are still in the attic so I’m working with what I have in my year round closet… but it’s time to bust out the color. Here are some trendy colors for this spring!
1. Citron

Anything from cheery lemon yellow to neon lime is in the citron category. Which means your options are good! This color is super easy to wear because all you need is a pop! Or go mega watt like may favorite look from last summer (see here). I love it paired with light grey and white but it looks good with everything from bright blue to navy to tan to black to even pink! On my wish list, this mark. Bright Inside Tote with it’s citron lining!

2. Pastels

What spring doesn’t include pastels? This year the water colored pastels seem to be more trending so your aquamarines, periwinkle, robin egg blue, seawater green, etc. These pair really well with tans and beige’s, which a toasted almond kind of shade seems to be THE neutral color hot for spring.

3. Tangerine

I think this ties right in with the citron trends, a bright citrus orange with red undertones makes Tangerine a must. It looks great on pretty much every skin tone and brings out your just developing tan. Try it anchored with black for a punch of color. It’s also great in a lip shade. I’ve been sporting mark. All Butter Now Lip Treat in Coraltini. It’s definitely a super wearable tangerine lip that for only $11 you can wear the trend at a super low investment.

4. Marsala

Marsala was the Pantone color for spring 2015. I’m not huge on this shade but pair it with these other hot trending shades and it’s a great pallet! With the 90’s resurgence we can see why this mauve shade is super popular.

5. Pineapples

Ok, ok, so pineapples aren’t a color but this graphic print is so hot right now (said like Zoolander). You’ll see this print pop up on everything to tanks to bags to dresses to flip flops! My favorite right now are these LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s flip flops in a cute pineapple print but they’re not on the website yet, I’ve only seen them in store. Ultimately I want those freaking Lilly Pulitzer for Target ones but I doubt I’ll find them returned in my size, or online for a reasonable resell price. Oh well…
