It’s already May but spring feels like it just hit. Time to lighten and brighten everything, from spring cleaning to fresh highlights to your wardrobe! Introducing spring colors into your wardrobe is a great way to lighten and brighten your look. Color not your thing? Jill from My Sweet Obsessions and I are back with our Spring Style Tips on how to wear spring colors.
1. Pick a pastel.

Nothing is more springy than a spring pastel. Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post pastel blues, greens, aqua’s are huge this season but the thing with pastels is there a version of every color so there’s sure to be something you like.

2. Start with a piece you love.

If you love something you’re more inclined to wear it. I absolutely fell in love with this Avon Fancy Flora Collection Earrings and Necklace! It’s retro 60’s design in spring pastel colors is right up my ally. Plus it pairs perfectly with my favorite pastel blue blouse. I just love the way this blouse fits, the color and the gold details. It’s an old find from LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s but this all over color is a lot easier to wear because I absolutely love it!

3. Try just a pop of color.

I’m not one to shy away from color but I do find myself wearing a lot of neutrals like black and white on the daily. That’s when just a pop of color is needed and achieved with the Avon Fancy Flora Collection Earrings and Statement Necklace. The pretty pastels add just enough color to feel springy even on your most basic of basics.

4. Pair pastels with lace or crochet.

Not sure what to wear your spring colors with? Try lace or crochet! Not only is it huge this year (as it was last year) but it can also be classic. I’m wearing a lace pencil skirt with my pastel blue blouse and Avon Fancy Flora Collection Jewelry for a look that’s more than appropriate for work. However, I could switch it out for some crochet shorts and be weekend ready!

5. Turn to your beauty items.

Work some spring colors into your beauty routine! I lightened and brightened my look with pastel pink eyeshadows (mark. Spring Fling Eyeshadow Trio) , a flushed cheek (mark. First Blush) and orchid lip (Avon Ultimate in Orchid Petal)! (see more and the full details here). Even a fresh nail polish shade in a spring color will do the trick. I’m wearing Essie Borrowed and Blue from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target release (see more here).

SIDENOTE: look how great these spring colors look with your spring neutrals! I wore this exact look with the mark. Luck Of The Drawstring Anorak over it and it payed off! See the full look here.
