As we enter the last two weeks of spring into the official start of summer let’s embrace this beautiful weather. Lucky for us we had a few styling tips from Jill from My Sweet Obsession and myself this spring. If you missed them they were: Easter, Spring Layers, and Spring Colors. We shared how we style these trends in the spring… but cool… great… nice outfit, now what? Here’s a little how to apply these tips in your every day dressing. I took Jill’s tips from her Spring Layers post and applied them to my look.

Be Ready

Jill suggested the mark. Luck Of The Drawstring Anorak, or a anorak jacket in general to keep you ready for whatever spring weather may bring. It’s a lightweight jacket but also functional with a hood and adjustable sleeves. So that’s just what I did, wore the mark. Luck Of The Drawstring Jacket.

Add More Layers

Next Jill suggested layering lightweight scarf to help with chilly mornings and nights, by wearing it loose it doesn’t make you too hot. I added the oversized mark. Four Seasons Scarf (now only $7.99!!!) for a spring floral print in a lightweight spring fabric.

Keep Things Simple

With the warmer weather Jill suggests going with simpler jewelry instead of your statement pieces so that’s just what I did with layering two simple bracelets (express and mark.) with my watch (avon). The layered look still gives impact while keeping things simple and functional.
Keep It Cool

Jill’s final tip is to pair your look with some flats instead of sandals to avoid cold piggies. I of course wore the only flats I love love love, the mark. Hit The Spot Flats (on clearance contact me to order).

Jills tips for layering this spring were easy to follow and apply. I mean why read all these OOTD blog posts if you don’t get inspired and apply them to your own looks!? It was Jill’s look that inspired me to order the mark. Luck Of The Drawstring Anorak and I’M SO GLAD I did! It’s the perfect “IT” jacket missing from my closet and I’ve worn it a ton! I can see it being a go-to all summer long especially for those cooler summer nights our around the bon fire or camping, etc. I know in PA you ALWAYS needed a light jacket in the summer and I never had the right one!

Not only did I apply Jill’s tips but she also showed you how easy it was to apply my tips! Head over to My Sweet Obsessions and see Jill’s spring look using our spring styling tips! I think she nailed her look, check our more here.
