The disadvantage of having your birthday in late August is you kinda get in that birthday mode and kinda forget what’s actually going on. Like the long Labor Day weekend is days away and I have a TON to get done before break. The advantage of having your birthday in late August is you get a ton of new goodies, birthday coupons to use with Labor Day Sales and some extra summer glow to get you through. With that said, don’t hate on me because this look is barely nautical, and barely fits the red white and blue theme I try to stick to. The feature here is this Amazon Green dress which is an unexpected color that looks GREAT with your red white and blues for your nautical looks. (and its a new dress, so deal)
Not only is my dress Amazon Green its also from AMAZON! Let me you tell you something, I’ve been on the Amazon fashion train before those influencers were on the train. I’ve been buying key pieces for years. They really are my secret for swimsuits! Usually you can get some pretty good prices so order a couple different sizes in all the styles you like, try them on at home, and send back what doesn’t work. I do have to say though ever since Amazon Fashion became its own Instagram account and building influencers it really has become endless with options. The biggest trick to shopping Amazon Fashion, reviews are where its at.
I’m wearing the Longwu Women’s Elegant Short Sleeve Wear to Work Casual Pencil Dress with Belt in a 4/6 in the shade malachite green. The real deal on this is that its a t-shirt like material with lots of stretch and more on the teal/amazon green coloring. It’s a little tight on my problem areas but pretty much everything is, but its still really flattering and fits true to size. The style features a boat neck and pockets! I’m a fan.
For late summer styling I paired it with white flat slides from Shoedazzle, my new favorite necklace, the Avon Sacred Coin Adjustable Necklace in Moon and a favorite bangle set from last summer. As I said this color goes great with your nautical prints, like in my navy and cream striped bag. This is easily transitioned into fall with some booties and a denim jacket or a navy blazer to dress it up.
Week O’Nautical is here to give summer the send off it deserves so check back for more nautical inspired looks incorporating red white and blue as we count down to the long Labor Day Weekend!
