Hello November! Halloween is always the switch here in Nor Cal. It’s now for sure fall. Seriously last week I was so hot I still had to pull my sleeveless tops out again. However, it did lead me to my favorite fall outfit. This combo from Banana Republic Factory: Sweater dress + Felt Hat + Ruana + Mules
This ribbed sleeveless midi dress is so easy to wear for fall. It’s comfortable, flattering, the perfect weight and extremely versatile. A few fall accessories and I have my perfect fall look. I liked it so much that I got it in both black and tan! Both are the perfect fall colors. *sidenote I’m linking the petite but I’m wearing a regular.
What makes this look so fall friendly are the accessories. The hat is from Amazon, which for the price, an excellent find and its adjustable to fit multiple head sizes. The ruana, or poncho as they call it, is from Banana Republic Factory too. It is the perfect combination of fall neutrals in a plaid which reverses to my favorite print, black and white houndstooth. It’s also so soft and cozy so as weather transitions, or for cooler mornings, or cooler offices, this guy was my GO-TO in Sept and Oct. I liked it so much I might of got a few for gifts. Actually, this ruana and felt hat combo would make and excellent pairing for a Christmas gift. Especially for someone you really don’t know their size in clothes but you still want to get them something fashionable.
Also wearing my favorite nude mules, Calvin Klein, my go-to fall camel tote from Michael Kors (found at TJ Maxxx),fall jewelry from Avon and my fall favorite lip, Avon Nourishing Lipstick in Delicate Date.
This has been my favorite fall outfit, not only this black version but also in the tan. I wear the same accessories and just reverse the ruana for a completely new look! You could definitely warm this up for cooler temps with a denim jacket, cozy cardigan sweater, or even a turtleneck underneath the dress. The ruana/poncho is really warm too so if you belted it and treated it more like a cardigan sweater you’d be plenty warm. Also, instead of mules switch into your favorite tall boots and done! I’ll be wearing this all fall and winter I’m sure.
