It’s wear and share Wednesday, which means Jackie from Living After Midnight and I take the same piece, wear it two different ways and share it! For July we selected the mark. Styling Trapeze Blouse ($30). It’s the perfect versatile summer top, pool blue color, fun cutout neckline and lightweight for hot summer temps.
mark. Styling Trapeze Blouse

Going graphic, I played off the graphic cutout details of the top by pairing it with a graphic black and white knit pencil skirt. Remember this skirt from a previous Wear and Share Wednesday Post? Jackie and I styled this mark. High Contrast Skirt back in February but it seemed more than fitting to bust it out again for a fun, office-friendly-on-a-106-degree-day look!

What’s more graphic than black and white? Black and white pumps from Shoedazzle and a black leather bag with a black and white striped silk scarf tied on add to my look. My bag and scarf are from Brooks Brothers but you can recreate the look with the mark. Handle With Flair Handbag in black.

The cutout trend is definitely having a moment, but its harder to make that trend work-friendly. The mark. Styling Trapeze Top ($30) perfectly placed their cutouts around the neckline, making this a more versatile way to wear the trend. To really focus on this detail I went sans-necklace but avec statement earrings (mark. Wow Factor Earrings) and kept my other jewelry summer friendly in shades of blue and gold. (Avon Signature Boyfriend watch, mark. Nail This Look Ring, Limited bracelet, blue bracelet from the mark. Glimmer and Gleam Bracelet Set, and two bracelets I picked up on my Hawaiian vacation last year).

Wearing my hair up also helps draw attention to the super fun details of the mark. Styling Trapeze Blouse. Plus, when its over 100 there is no way I’m wearing my hair down… enter in the mega messy bun. I used the sock bun technique but wore it lower on my head to make it more appropriate. Quick summer style for a hot summer day.

This look is definitely my style. My favorite color, blue, with my favorite style, graphic black and white. Plus, I was able to make my current closet more versatile with adding in one new summer top, the mark. Styling Trapeze Top, and for only $30!

Thanks Deedee! I rarely wear my hair up, just not a huge fan on my own head (aka roots) but when its that hot… there’s no way I’m wearing it down! Or lets clarify I rarely start with my hair up!… eventually through out the day I throw it up to get it out of may face and be functional haha.
Gorgeous summer outfit, Alicia! And the two-toned pumps are the perfect addition to the look. Love it! ~Lauren at http://www.ginnysclosetblog.com
